W32.Serflog.A Virus Removal (msn virus) This worm virus is now so widespread that it's become an epidemic so I've decided to give you a way to remove it. I cannot guarantee it'll work seeing as there's so many PC's out there with so many other viruses on & there may be another strain of this one by the time Ii made this page so give it a go and see if it works :) Click this link to d/l the tool to your desktop:  Then got to START - CONTROL PANEL - (if in classic view) - SYSTEM - SYSTEM RESTORE - untick the box & click ok (takes a while) or START - CONTROL PANEL - (if in category view) ADMINISTATIVE TOOLS - SYSTEM - SYSTEM RESTORE - untick the box & click ok (takes a while). Run the tool and then restart your PC. Go back to into the system settings & tick the box to enable system restore then go to START - ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - SYSTEM TOOLS - SYSTEM RESTORE and click to create a restore point. Name it & save it. Ask around over a few days to see if anyone has had any pop up's off you and if not, run the tool again but in safe mode. SAFE MODE To do this, start up the PC & immediately after the black & white writing has gone off, press F8 at the top of the keyboard until you see a list of options with SAFE MODE at the top. If you see a list of "boot options" press the ESC key then press F8 as in some PC's this is an option to edit the boot sequence of your devices. Click ok to the safe mode message once Windows loads then run the tool again. Running Windows in safe mode makes sure that it's only running on the drivers it needs to work as a bare minimum with no programs (and viruses) running.
